According to a source at Manny's there will be a Chili Cook Off on January 16th, 2010 at Manny's Beach Club. We will update if there is more information.

The 5th Annual Shrimp and Commerce Festival is coming up on January 23rd, 2010 at the Plaza del Camaron across from the City Hall from 12-6 pm. Visitors are able to sample dishes from some of the best restaurants in Rocky Point and there may be a Bloody Mary Contest. Again we'll try to keep you updated.

Cholla Bay's Sportsman's Club Golf Tourney is coming up also on January 30th, 2010 with 7:30 registration 8:00 shotgun start. It will be located on the Las Palomas Golf Course and the entry fee includes lunch with prizes awarded. Proceeds will be distributed to La Montana School for the Mentally and Physically Challenged.
